Initially announced as a Nokia’s WP7 exclusive, Nokia Maps will be available to everyone in the coming weeks!

Until now, the non-US owners of first generation Windows Phone 7 didn’t have any very reliable application to find their way in unknown places. Apparently, Nokia is about to solve this problem by giving away for free their extremely famous Nokia Maps application. Announced as a Lumia’s exclusive until now, Nokia Maps will be made available in the coming weeks on the Marketplace and will be entirely free of charge. Apparently, the deal between Nokia and Microsoft seems to involve Nokia’s actual participation. Nokia maps should bring a new way to navigate efficiently in cities around the world to every WP7 owner, with additional features and new options exclusive to this Windows Phone 7 version. Of course, Nokia Maps wont be a free navigation system, as the GPS remains a Nokia phones exclusive and a reason to buy Nokia phones but this announcement seems to bethe perfect way to promote the deal between the two giants among the Windows Phone community. We will keep you updated with the availability of Nokia Maps on the Marketplace.
